"Something's A-Flutter"

If you've never been during this event at Daniel Stowe Gardens, you need to go and experience it just once and you're hooked.

In the Orchid Conservatory, they have butterfly releases and an area with the pupas hanging in a glass case with openings. You may get to see a butterfly "being born".

This butterfly photo was taken last year at the event.

Come Sit a Spell

From the Daniel Stowe Gardens this summer. One of my favorite places to visit and photograph all the nature.

This was the "Salute to America" chair exhibit.

Salute to America - Come Sit a Spell exhibit ends 8/22/10

Hummingbirds

I love hummingbirds! We have this young male Ruby-Throat that thinks this is his territory and no other birds. He's funny to watch.

If you want to attract lots of butterflies and hummingbirds, plant this orange Mexican Sunflower and they will come.
