We're finally having some winter weather in the Carolinas!. Started off with snow and now it's mixed with sleet. Typical for those who live in the Piedmont area to get sleet and freezing rain mixed with snow.
Several years ago, me and my parents ran across these barns during one of our small little snowstorms. I thought the brick silos were so pretty against the gray walls and white snow.

We've got about 1/4 inch of ice on everything outside. Here is my gardenia bush bending over snow and ice covered. I was going to get out and walk around a lot but decided against it.... I might break my camera!
It's snowing today! Here's our male red-bellied woodpecker in the snow, perched on the tree. He has just gotten some food from our feeder and I guess he's storing it in the tree.
